Rio Grande City Honors Long-Serving Public Servant at Retirement Celebration



The City of Rio Grande City recently came together to celebrate the retirement of Mr. Jose Enrique Cantu, a dedicated employee of the Rio Grande City Public Utilities Department for over 21 years. Mr. Cantu's invaluable contributions and unwavering commitment to the city were recognized and celebrated during a heartfelt retirement party, where he was honored by colleagues, friends, and city officials.

 

Mr. Cantu's remarkable tenure with the Rio Grande City Public Utilities Department exemplifies his dedication to serving the community and ensuring the efficient operation of essential municipal services. Throughout his more than two decades of service, Mr. Cantu has been a trusted and reliable member of the city's workforce, earning the respect and admiration of his peers.

 

At the retirement celebration, held during a luncheon in Mr. Cantu's honor, Mayor Joel Villarreal, Commissioner Rey Ramirez, and Commissioner Rogerio Olivarez expressed their gratitude for Mr. Cantu's exemplary service and extended their best wishes for his retirement. They acknowledged his significant contributions to the City of Rio Grande City and highlighted his professionalism, dedication, and positive impact on the community.
