The Rio Grande City Public Library, in partnership with Methodist Healthcare Ministries of South Texas, is offering a health and wellness series throughout March. The sessions, held every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., aim to educate the community on vital health topics.
Led by a Wesley Nurse, the series will cover essential subjects, including blood pressure management, self-breast examinations, hydration and infused waters, diabetic foot care, stress management, self-care, and meditation techniques. The program is designed to provide attendees with practical knowledge and strategies to improve their overall well-being.
“This initiative is part of our commitment to making the library a hub for lifelong learning and community support,” said Norma Fultz, director of the Rio Grande City Public Library. “We encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to learn from healthcare professionals and make informed choices about their health.”
Community members interested in attending can call 956-487-4389 for more information. The sessions are free and open to the public, reinforcing the library’s role as a resource for education and wellness.
