The Rio Grande City Fire Department & Emergency Management unit recently brought waves of excitement and joy to the students and teachers at Roque Guerra Jr. Elementary as they celebrated Water Day with a splash of fun in the sun.

Earlier this week, members of the RGC Fire Department & Emergency Management unit joined forces with the enthusiastic students and staff at Roque Guerra Jr. Elementary to mark Water Day in style. The event aimed to promote water safety awareness while providing a refreshing break from the classroom routine.

During the fun filled day, firefighters and emergency responders engaged in a series of water-themed activities and demonstrations, captivating the eager audience with their expertise and enthusiasm. From interactive fire hose drills to educational sessions on water safety tips, the event offered a perfect blend of learning and enjoyment.

"The safety and well-being of our community, especially our young ones, are paramount to us," said Chief Manuel Muniz of the RGC Fire Department. "Events like Water Day allow us to not only educate children about water safety but also build positive relationships with our community members."
