The Rio Grande City Fire Department recently received a donation of $2,500 from Electric Transmission Texas (ETT) that will go towards supporting the department’s Volunteer Firefighters program.
“ETT has generously provided a check for the amount of $2500.00 towards the Volunteer Firefighters program,” declared RGC Fire Chief Manuel Munuz. “They personally appreciate the commitment to improving the quality of life in our community.”
ETT is a utility joint venture between American Electric Power (AEP) and Berkshire Hathaway Energy Company, whose purpose is to build, own and operate electric transmission projects within the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT). ETT currently has several construction projects underway in the Starr County area.
