Texas Regional Bank has officially opened its first branch in Starr County, marking a significant milestone for the institution and the local community. The branch, located in Rio Grande City, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Nov. 21 to celebrate the occasion.
Mayor Gilberto Falcon and the Rio Grande City Commission were in attendance to congratulate former RGC Economic Development Corp. Executive director, Dalinda Guillen, on the achievement. Guillen now serves as the bank’s Market Manager for Starr and Hidalgo Counties,
“This grand opening is a testament to the economic growth and potential of Rio Grande City,” said Mayor Falcon. “We are thrilled to welcome Texas Regional Bank to our community and look forward to seeing its positive impact on local businesses and families.”
The new branch aims to provide accessible banking services to the region, supporting personal and commercial financial needs. City leaders expressed optimism that the bank’s presence will contribute to continued economic development in Starr County.
