MISSION, Texas — The Texas Citrus Fiesta will bring its annual Fun Fair back to Mission with a free, two-day family event scheduled for Friday, Jan. 30, and Saturday, Jan. 31.

The event will take place at Bentsen Palm Community Park, located at 1801 S. Inspiration Road, and will feature carnival rides, games, entertainment and activities for all ages. Festivities are scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to midnight Friday and from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free and open to the public.

The Texas Citrus Fiesta has been a longstanding tradition in Mission, celebrating the citrus industry that helped shape the city and the Rio Grande Valley. The festival dates back to the early 1930s and was established to promote the region’s citrus growers and agricultural economy.

Over the decades, the Fiesta has grown into one of the area’s most recognized community celebrations, featuring parades, pageants and public events that highlight Mission’s agricultural roots and cultural heritage.

Organizers say the Fun Fair continues that tradition by offering a family-friendly celebration that brings residents together while honoring the Valley’s citrus history.

For more information, residents can contact Texas Citrus Fiesta Executive Director Amy Tijerina at 956-585-9724.
