Rio Grande City Leaders Honor Veterans at RGCGISD Program

Mayor Gilberto Falcon, Mayor Pro Tem Ediel Barrera, and City Manager Gilberto Millan attended the Rio Grande City Grulla Independent School District (RGCGISD) Veterans Day Program on Friday morning at the district auditorium. The event honored the service and sacrifices of veterans within the local community and across the nation.

During the ceremony, Mayor Falcon delivered a proclamation paying tribute to the countless men and women who have served in the U.S. armed forces. The proclamation highlighted the significance of Veterans Day and recognized the impact that veterans have had on both the community and the country.

“To all our local veterans, we thank you for your service,” said Mayor Falcon. “Your courage and dedication have shaped our nation and inspire future generations.”

The program, organized by RGCGISD, brought together students, faculty, and city officials to express gratitude and celebrate the resilience of veterans and their families.
