Rio Grande City IDEA Choir to Perform “Carols on Main”, Monday, Dec. 11



The Rio Grande City IDEA Choir will once again perform Christmas Carols all throughout the city on Monday morning starting at City Hall.


“It's that time of the year again. The 9th Annual Carols on Main with the IDEA RGC Choir will be Monday, December 11th, starting at City Hall,” said Main Street Program Coordinator, Yandery De La Cruz. “You can also catch the IDEA RGC Choir as they perform along several locations all along Rio Grande City’s Main Street.”


After performing at City Hall at 9:00 A.M. the group will perform at the following locations along RGC Mian Street: PNC Bank, Faby’s Café, LFD Furniture, the Kelsey Bass Courtyard, Starr County Gas, Garza Insurance, Aria Beaty Bar, R.E. Supplies and Grande Garbage Co.


Christmas carols help create a festive atmosphere during the holiday season. They add to the overall ambiance of decorations, lights, already set-up along Downtown Rio Grande City. Christmas carols are also generally cheerful and uplifting, spreading joy and positivity throughout the community.


According to its official website, IDEA Public Schools is a non-profit network of tuition-free, public charter schools in the United States. The organization was founded in 2000 by Tom Torkelson and JoAnn Gama. IDEA stands for "Individuals Dedicated to Excellence and Achievement." The network is known for its focus on providing quality education to underserved communities.
