The Rio Grande City Police Department extends its gratitude to Immaculate Conception School for inviting them to join in the celebration of Dr. Seuss' 120th Birthday and Read Across America week.
Officer Eloy Trevino from the Rio Grande City Police Department visited Immaculate Conception School to take part in the festivities. He read "The Cat in the Hat" to the students and encouraged them to keep exploring their imaginations through reading.
"We want to thank Immaculate Conception School for inviting us to be a part of this special event," said the Rio Grande City Police Chief Noe Castillo.
The event not only celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday but also emphasized the importance of reading and literacy in the lives of young students. Officer Trevino's visit aimed to inspire the students to continue their journey of discovery through books.
