During the regular June meeting of the City Commission on Tuesday, June 11, Rio Grande City Commissioners appointed Rene Orlando Garza as the new municipal judge of Rio Grande City.
Garza, a well-known attorney in the community, brings several years of legal experience to the position. His appointment is expected to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the city’s justice system.
“We are pleased to appoint Rene Orlando Garza as our new municipal judge,” said Mayor Gilberto Falcon. “His extensive legal background and dedication to justice make him an invaluable addition to our city’s judiciary. We are confident that Judge Garza will serve our community with integrity and fairness.”
In his new position, Garza will oversee the operations of the municipal court, which handles cases involving local ordinances, traffic violations, and other minor offenses. His responsibilities will include presiding over hearings, making legal determinations, and ensuring that the court operates efficiently and effectively.
