Museum of South Texas History to host Ranch Fest, January 24th

EDINBURG, Texas — The Museum of South Texas History will celebrate the heritage and traditions of South Texas ranch life with Ranch Fest 2026 on Saturday, Jan. 24.
The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature live demonstrations, music, food and family-friendly activities highlighting the region’s ranching culture.
Visitors can watch demonstrations of traditional ranch skills such as knitting, wood carving and leather boot crafting. An arts and crafts market will showcase handmade items from local vendors, along with food and other regional flavors.
Live music and entertainment will take place throughout the day on the museum’s outdoor stage. The event will also include a classic truck show featuring vehicles from 1986 and earlier, presented in partnership with Las Foringas Truck Club RGV.
Organizers say Ranch Fest is designed for all ages and offers an opportunity for families to learn about and experience the traditions that helped shape South Texas.
Admission is free for FRIENDs of MOSTHistory members. General admission prices are $9 for adults, $6 for military members, seniors and students with valid identification, $5 for children ages 4 to 12, and free for children 3 and younger.
