The City of Rio Grande City staff and Commission members attended the annual Parade Marshal Dinner held on Tuesday evening, November 28th, at the KC Hall in honor of Mr. Emigdio Cahue, who is this year’s Lighted Christmas Parade Marshal.
Mr. Cahue is the General Manager of our local H-E-B supermarket, and has worked for the company for over 35 years. “He is a pillar in our community, and goes out of his way to ensure the members of our community are taken care of,” declared Rio Grande City Mayor Joel Villarreal. “On behalf the City Commission of Rio Grande City, we would like to express our congratulations and sincerest appreciation to the 2023 Parade Marshal Emigdio Cahue.”
The Rio Grande City Annual Lighted Christmas Parade will be held on Friday, December 1st, starting at 7:00 pm. This year's theme is, "A Christmas Toyland Adventure."
