The Miss Starr County and Miss Rio Grande City Dual Pageant was held at the Rio Grande City GISD Auditorium on Saturday, November 18. Crowned Miss Rio Grande City at the pageant was Victoria Salinas, and Kendra Gomez was crowned Little Miss Rio Grande City.
“We would like to congratulate the newly crowned Miss RGC, Victoria Salinas, and Little Miss RGC, Kendra Gomez,” stated Miss Freedom Fest Pageant organizer Cathy Rubio. “They each also hold the title of Miss RGC Freedom Fest and Little Miss RGC Freedom Fest. We are so proud of you girls.”
According to a press release from the district, the objective of the pageant is to help empower young girls by providing a platform where they can build confidence, poise, leadership and social skills. It is also an opportunity to serve as role models in our community and portray a positive image for the youth today.
