EDINBURG, Texas - An evening celebrating art, culture and community inspired by the legacy of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo will take place in Edinburg later this month.

Frida Fest 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Promenade Park Amphitheater, located at 201 W. McIntyre St.

Organizers say the event will highlight the influence of Kahlo through art exhibits, music and cultural activities designed for visitors of all ages.

The festival will feature live music, art displays, chalk art and wellness-themed creative activities, along with carnival rides and a children’s area.

A Frida-inspired fashion show and special guest appearances are also planned as part of the celebration.

Frida Kahlo, a Mexican painter known for her distinctive self-portraits and exploration of identity, culture and resilience, remains one of the most recognizable figures in Latin American art.
