Disability Awareness Walk set for April 5



The City of Rio Grande City is extending its support to the Rio Grande City Grulla Independent School District (ISD) for the Special Education Department Disability Awareness Walk scheduled for Friday, April 5.


The event will take place from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Basilio Villarreal Municipal Park. Its primary objective is to raise awareness about disabilities within the community while promoting inclusivity and understanding.


The Disability Awareness Walk aims to foster a supportive environment for individuals with disabilities and their families. Participants in the walk will have the opportunity to engage in various activities and educational sessions designed to increase awareness and promote empathy. Community members are encouraged to join in this meaningful event to show solidarity with individuals with disabilities.
