Construction on the new Public Safety Building is continuing on schedule, with most of the significant phases of the project nearing completion.
“We are pleased to report that the progress of the new Public Safety Building is moving at an excellent pace,” declared Rio Grande City Mayor Joel Villarreal. “The outer structure has been completed as well as the inner mapping of offices. This new Public Safety Building will house our RGC Fire Department and RGC Police Department and we are excited for this project to be completed soon.”
The City of Rio Grande City hosted the official groundbreaking ceremony for the Public Safety Building on Friday, April 14th, which is set to be located at 502 N. 755 Road behind the new Tractor Supply Co. Building.
“Our first responders have been anxiously awaiting this momentous occasion, and we are so excited this project is nearing its completion.” stated RGC Fire Dept. Chief Manuel Muniz.
