Roma ISD Home to Starr County's Highest Ranked High School


Roma High School was recently ranked 261st within Texas by US News and World Report, making it the highest ranked of the five high schools in Starr County.

According to the details of the ranking, at Roma High School students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® coursework and exams. The AP® participation rate at the school is 57%. The total minority enrollment is 100%, and 85% of students are economically disadvantaged.

Roma High School is the only high school in the Roma Independent School District. and is ranked ranked #3,118 in the National Rankings.

According to USNWR, schools are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation and how well they prepare students for college.

The four other high schools in Starr County include Rio Grande City High School which ranks #554 in the USNWR rankings, San Isidro High School which is ranked #769, and Grulla High School which lands at #882. The RGCCISD Preparatory for Early College High School was not ranked.
