Rio Grande City High School held their graduation ceremony on Wednesday, May 29, at Joe R. Sanchez Stadium honoring their graduating class of 2019.
The Rio Grande City High School Mariachi played for the audience as they sat and waited for the graduates to walk onto the field.
Mr. Jorge Pena Rio Grande City High School Principal, welcomed the parents and addressed the graduates with a few words of advise and encouragement.
Mr. Roel Gonzalez, Interim Superintendent of Schools certified the graduates and gave them a few words of encouragement and the Board of Trustees distributed the diplomas to the graduates.
The class of 2019 gathered one last time for the unity circle as they sang along to their Alma Matter. "The School Board of Trustees and the RGCCISD would like to congratulate Rio Grande City High School Class of 2019." reads a statement from the district.
