Free Legal Advice for New Business Owners at RGC Public Library, Oct. 16



Startups and prospective business owners are invited to attend a free, legal workshop on October 16, from 1:30 om to 3:30 pm, at the Rio Grande City Public Library, located at 591 E. Canales St. in Rio Grande City.

The "Legal Tips for Small Businesses" session covers information on business structures; signing contracts; negotiating a lease; hiring employees; workplace safety; intellectual property; and much more. Attorney Amber VanSchuyver with Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid will present the session.

"This session provides crucial information for business owners, especially those who are just launching businesses or that expect to have employees. Owners will also have the opportunity to aks an attorney questions pertinent to thier companies," shares Marcela Arredondo, a Senior Business and Trade Advisor with the UTRGV SBDC.

The session is sponsored by the UTRGV Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and hosted by the Rio Grande City Public Library, Rio Grande City EDC, RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and Starr County Industrial Foundation.
