Viral Sensation RGCHS Drumline to help Kick-off Summer Reading Program

Video clips featuring a recent concert performance by The Rio Grande City High School Percussion Drumline have gone viral across social media with over 100 thousand views, turning the group into a valley-wide sensation.

For those who missed the concert, the team has agreed to help the Rio Grande City Public Library kick-start their Summer Reading Program with a concert at the library on Friday, June 1. The day-time concert will also feature the Grulla Elem. Stars Cheerleaders and is set to start at 10:00 am.

The Library's Summer program will run through the entire month of June from Monday through Thursday, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm for Pre-K, and Kinder students, and from 4:00 to 5:00 pm for first, and second graders. A major highlight of the program will be 'Fun Fridays' where all participants, and guests can enjoy presentations such as dance numbers, talent shows, and even a Lipan Apache Dancers show which is set for Friday, June 8, at 10:00 am.
