The Kelsey-Bass Museum and the Rio Grande City Public library co-hosted 'Mother’s Day at the Museum' on Thursday, May 10, at the museum's courtyard.
The celebration featured ‘Serenatas’ by the Ringgold Middle School Mariachi Nuevo Cascabel, door prizes, a mother’s day photo-booth, several other goodies for mom.
In the U.S., Mother's Day, is observed on the second Sunday in May, and is considered a national holiday to honor mothers. In Mexico, Guatemala, and El Salvador Mother's Day is observed on May 10.
